It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 3rd RISE Travel Institute Student Conference on Thursday, February 1st, 2024.

The RISE Travel Institute Student Conference is an annual event where students from the Flagship Certificate Program in Sustainability and Anti-Oppression in Travel present their capstone projects to the community.

​

During the ten sessions of the RISE Flagship Certificate Program students interact with professionals and academics in tourism, social justice, animal protection, and climate change, cultivating an understanding of different frameworks of sustainability and how to approach sustainable travel holistically.

​

As the culmination of a comprehensive, structured, and research-based education on sustainable travel through a systems approach and an anti-oppression lens, the conference offers students the opportunity to share their ideas, remarks, reflections, and initiatives to make the travel and tourism industry and more just, sustainable and inclusive one. This year, we're excited and honored to be hosting our annual student conference in partnership with the Department for Travel and Tourism Studies, College of Hospitality Management at Johnson and Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
