FAQ

Programs

Q: What is the difference between a full program and a short course?

A: A full program, such as the Flagship Certificate Program in Sustainability and Anti-Oppression in Travel and Teachers RISE: Educating for a Better World Through Travel, is a cohort-based program with specific start and end dates. All cohort-based programs include a mix of apre-recorded lectures and interactive components such as live sessions, discussion board, as well as optional capstone presentations, and expect a time commitment of about 30 hours in total. A short course, on the other hand, is an asynchronous, self-paced course without any interactive element.

Q: What is the time commitment for a short course?

A: Each short course consists of a total of 60-90 minute long video lectures. Together with suggested reading, students are expected to spend approximately 4 hours to get the most out of each course.
